In a week’s time, on Saturday the 16th of May,  Rob and Zac (The Co Brothers) are going to launch their music video Derry/Londonderry.

I am not Catholic or Orthodox but I like the idea of fasting for Lent and over the years I have practiced my own version of letting go of something for 40 days. I usually search myself for what thing I have inside of me that needs reigning in or what scaly tailed little demon I need to flick off my shoulder. This year I decided it was going to be a total black out of all news and social media and I started off in robust fashion, replacing facebook with an actual book and trading the clamor of the news for the sweet sound of music. And it was good, peaceful, healthy and then - corona virus happened.

I am back in La Gomera and Rob is back in Colorado and our week of filming in Northern Ireland has been accomplished.

Just a quick update from Belfast!

I am on a Ryanair flight with the yellow seat backs, barely enough room for my laptop, and thinking that the hot ham and swiss panini smells pretty good.

Exactly one month from today on the 14th of January we will be convening in Belfast to make this video.  The weather is likely to be terrible and we are going to freeze our butts off but the tickets are bought and we are going without a doubt. 

So we finally have fixed a date for filming this video (Jan 14th -21st) and I have put together a gofundme page where you can give to support the project.

Just a quick update to let you all know that we are still working towards the creation of this video.  While I was in Colorado Rob and I had a couple of concerts to raise some funds for the project.

So Rob and I are making some headway on this video project and I thought I would write and bring you all up to date on what's happening.

This Thursday the 26th of September from 7-8:30pm at Dillon Community Church, Robert and Zachary Schmidt will be putting on a concert and presenting the project "Pass the Salt" Belfast.
